The power of Christ, the Icon of the power of God, is fully expressed in his love and his GIFT.

Stronger than the Crucifixion.

Stronger than the spear.

Stronger than pain and death, love dominates everything. Love drives events. Love overturns every concept.

The soldiers, too, are shaken. Their weapons had only destroyed, the power of love only builds. Mary had also understood. Inseparable from the Crucified One, hence her presence, she stood there, welcoming everything into her heart. Welcoming and giving, a true Icon of her Son's love.
